If you’re a fan of Brothers’ Restaurant, you know that each week we feature a different special Mimosa. This week’s special is a Hibiscus-Ginger Mimosa.
Hibiscus Infusions or Teas are popular around the world and have different names. I first learned about Hibiscus Iced Tea while visiting Egypt — you can buy it on most any street corner. In Egypt, it is called “karkade.” It’s slightly sweet and has a nice tang to it. Yesterday I steeped dried Hibiscus blossoms with fresh gingerroot for about 30 minutes.
We’ll be serving Hibiscus-Ginger Mimosas all week, so stop in and ask for a “Sparkling Karkade.”
